Wilmington Wine Tastings, Part Two

[picappgallerysingle id="308010"]I’ve always meant to write waaaay more on this blog about local Wilmington wine tastings than I do, and I intend to fix that.

So in honor of that commitment, here’s a little tip from me to you.  The Wine Sampler in Wilmington (4107-I Oleander Drive) is having a sale this week (October 7-13) on all their Vinho Verdes and Rosés, in honor of the changing seasons.  20% off, so go get yourself some.

I am thrilled, because I L-O-V-E Rosé, as anyone who reads this blog knows, and I’m a huge fan of Vinho Verdes too.  So this is very good news for me!

There will be other wines on sale as well, such as the Silver Palm Cabernet (I love this Cabernet) for just $14.99.  For that price, the Silver Palm is most definitely worth picking up; you won’t be disappointed.

And one of my old favorites, Rosenblum Zinfandel (though I’m not sure which one), will be on sale for $9.99. Rosenblum Zinfandels were the first Zinfandels I drank on a regular basis, and I tasted a bunch of Zinfandels once at their facility in Oakland, so Rosenblum is near and dear to my heart!

Of course, The Wine Sampler will have their usual weekly tasting – it’s informal, drop in anytime during tasting hours:

Thursday, October 7th — Wine 12-8 pm
Friday, October 8th — Wine and Beer 12-9 pm
Saturday, October 9th — Wine 11-5 pm

And as always, there is no charge.

The line-up this week is:

Broadbent Vinho Verde, Portugal – $9.99 / $2.5 BTG This Week Only $7.99

2009 Chateau Roustan Costieres de Nimes, France – $11.99 / $3 BTG This Week Only

2009 Cabernet de Saumur Rosé, France – $9.99 / $2.5 BTG This Week Only $7.99

2009 Lucky Star Pinot Noir – $8.99 / $2.5 BTG This Week Only $8.09

2008 Villa San-Juliette Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles, CA – $13.99 / $3.5 BTG This Week Only $12.59
